Digitization on Demand
The Archivum introduced Digitization on Demand services for registered researchers to accommodate remote research requests. Before making a request, please check that the selected materials are available online:
- on our the Online Collections page (accessible without registration)
- on our Curated Collections page (accessible without registration)
- through the Catalog
- CEU students/faculty/staff have free access to the Archivum's Research Cloud at CEU Sharepoint.
About the service
One researcher can request up to two archival folders or approximately 200 pages per month, max. 2 book chapters per month, and 2 audiovisual items.
CEU students and Visegrad fellows may request more, subject to capacity constraints.
Request forms should be sent by email to digitization@osaarchivum.org, with precise details of the item required, specifying fonds, sub-fonds, series and folders/item call number.
- The call number of a folder looks like this: 300-40-2:1/1
- The call number of a Film Library item looks like this: FL Record 1990
Further clarification may be required by the Archivum's staff.
We operate on a "first come first served" basis. You will receive an email within two working days about the status of your request.
The digitization may take up to two weeks, in special cases more.
Your request will be served in the Cloud. You will receive a link to the materials by email, on the email address you provided in your registration.
Price
For members of the CEU community and Visegrad fellows, this service is free of charge.
Other researchers will be charged according to the Archivum’s standard price list.
