Radio Liberty Russian Broadcast

Over ten thousand hours of radio broadcast in Russian language covering more than four decades from the death of Stalin to the fall of the Soviet Union. Some of the programs are from after the fall of Communism in Russia. The Radio Liberty material is a unique source for studying the Cold War, the Soviet dissident movements, the samizdat literature, the Perestroika and the end social and political affairs at the Soviet Union.

The collection consists of a wide range of genres of programs including news, analyses, talk shows with famous writers, poets, musicians and historians, literary readings, Samizdat reviews, music and church programs and accounts of fresh emigrants from the 1980s.
