Research Description
This artistic research project intends to carry out an audiovisual investigation into the imagery of families and citizens, where securitarian political dynamics intertwine with people's private and intimate lives. The project, entitled WAR IN THE EYES, seeks to explore the connections between the private dimension and history, within family and intimate life, where aggressive and destructive impulses are at play. A visual narration of the unconscious emotional tensions which at the same time represent a matrix of conflictuality. When projected into the public context, these tensions trigger the events of war. The project will analyse the interweaving of intra-psychic conflictuality with the rhetoric of fear propaganda.
Bio
Audiovisual artist, director of documentaries and short movies with contamination by video-art. Mayor of a small municipality in Italy. Social project manager and founder of hospitality projects for asylum seekers. Works with a strong vocation for human rights issues.
